A typical day in the life of an Actor

Ahhh the life of an Actor! What the hell do we put ourselves though? Auditions after auditions after auditions … wearing our hearts on our sleeves … exposing ourselves in hope of getting that part we crave … waiting by the phone for the call that will decide our fate … then rolling our hearts back up when that call never comes. Smiling to our friends and loved ones while saying, “Nah, it is ok. There are other parts out there. I guess it wasn’t my fate.” When we are actually thinking, “What the fuck! How could I have messed that one up?” (Sigh) … strange bunch we are … schizophrenic at heart; we have to be! Why do we put ourselves through all this crap, all this heartache? Why … for the love of it all!
