Poetry - Black-n-White/Angelic Analogies

Black and White

No shades of gray
Will ever
Clutter your way

You've managed to live
Fact by fact
Always able to give
Wit and tact

You have imposed
This life on us all
Without a chance
For us to fall

Even before I've conceded
You've already decided
This is how it should be
For you and me

A word to the wise:
This kind of life
Will only lead to our demise

Black and white
Can never be
Especially for someone like me

I only operate in
shades of gray
open to all types and ways

I can't cloud my vision
There's so much I'd miss
Life without colors
Is a life shrouded in bliss

I won't compromise
What will it be
Black and White?
Shades of Gray?
It's for you to decide

Angelic Analogies

The immediate heavens above these streets are cluttered with non-sense representations of life:

anorexic Barbie-doll girls
steroid-induced Billy-doll boys

they smile down at us (angelically) as if to say, "Everything's okay!"

==========

But real life is most apparent here:

budding little girls with adult-painted faces vomit themselves thin
balding Chelsea boys with shrunken testicles inject themselves muscles

the rest of us (ignoring the apparent analogies) greedily go about our obese lives

==========

every now and then
one of us will gaze up
at our guardian angles
and smile (enviously)
