Musician(s) of the Week: Travis

One group that I've always liked for years is Travis - Luve those Scots!!! Yesterday I got their new album: "The Boy with No Name," and I must say it's astounding.

I first got wind of them when Why Does It Always Rain On Me, Side and Sing came out on Dutch MTV, which played all of them over and over and over again. Their new single: Closer has a cute video to go with. I'm not sure if they ever became a big hit here in the US; music taste between countries (even Germany and The Netherlands) is so vast: Kylie Minogue (the Madonna of Europe), Robbie Williams (the European king of pop) and the Scissor Sisters (huge in UK and some other EU countries) are all huge in Europe, but not really big in the US. David Hasselhoff (as a singer) - HUGE in Germany! Not in the rest of Europe, the US or any other civilized country (maybe one of the islands off of Malta).

Back to Travis ...
They have a MySpace page, which if you don't have one by now you are definitely a loser and so 2005! If you don't have a FaceBook page then you're a major loser and so 2007 (I'll forgive those of you born before 1950).
